Robert Colson is a man on a mission!
For over 30 years his goal has been to get people into homes! From his days in Southern California financing housing tracts, and building communities, to his years in the banking business, he has always focused on the customer and their desire to have a home of their own. He has funded over 10,000 mortgage loans with a total of over $2,000,000,000 in sales.
He has been active in all of the communities where he has lived. Whether as a volunteer Boy Scout leader or as a Helping Hands volunteer for his church, his focus is always on helping others.
Most of his clients return for loan after loan, even when it has been years between their purchases or refinances. He also cultivates their friends and family as a trusted friend and source of both financial advice and loan assistance.
One of his most important qualities is his deep and broad knowledge of the mortgage business. He is adamant that all of his clients understand exactly what programs are available to them, and points out, with clarity, what the pros and cons are for each. As a result, his clients are confident in their choices and gladly recommend his services to others.
In a business where personal service is becoming a thing of the past, Robert is resolved to keep the personal relationship alive!
His training began in Southern California in the heat of the housing boom. When mortgage rates were 14-16%, his expertise allowed him to provide financing to people from all walks of life. He became a manager quickly, but remained a loan originator as well.
He has been in the Utah lending business for over 20 years, and knows the market there as only experience can teach. He understands the process, as he has also been an independent broker, and has processed and underwritten loans. Robert worked as an area manager in the wholesale mortgage business, working closely with small brokers and mortgage lenders to supply the funds for their clients. He was invited to create a mortgage division for a local bank, and as part of the process, worked with computer systems, personnel, government agencies, and all of the associated services. So he is well versed in escrow, title, and appraisal services, as well as city, county, state and federal housing policies and regulations.
Robert has moved to Geneva to again pursue the personal service he has always provided. He looks forward to expanding his circle of clients and friends at Geneva Financial, and finding a home for you!
