I work at Amazon and we call people like Michelle Wood Bar Raisers. It is the highest compliment we give. I am lucky my path in life crossed with the most customer-obsessed Bar Raiser of all times—Michelle Wood. Michelle earned my trust by quickly providing pre-approval letters on a whooping five properties, all the while patiently teaching me, a very skittish first-time homebuyer. Michelle worked hard on my first deal, but scary inspection reports made me back out. Then, I was a discouraged, heartbroken “number two” offer on four properties. I was floored when I found out what Michelle had said about me when she called the sellers, advocating on my behalf. I never thought of myself as a highly qualified buyer who had worked hard and deserved a beautiful home.
