Beauty Bus Delivering Hope through Beauty.

In September of 2010 I was introduced to the angels at Beauty Bus Foundation.  My mother, Francesca, was losing her battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s) in late 2010 and although she had been a ballerina and ballet teacher all her life, she was now completely paralyzed and homebound.    She would receive regular visits from doctors, nurses etc., but on this day, she was treated to a home spa service and a beautiful mani/pedi.    As her caregiver, I also received a complimentary pedicure, complete with pretty flowers on my toes.    This little moment of pampering truly brightened our day.   Francesca died in February 2011, but I will always remember her smiles on that day and how she was truly treated like a queen.    When life is ebbing away and there is little left but memories and suffering, to have a chance to feel beautiful again is a precious gift.

Since its founding Beauty Bus has delivered over 5,000 services to almost 3,500 clients and delivered 30,000 bags of beauty.  The youngest client is 3 years old and the oldest is 101.

Mission:To deliver dignity, hope and respite to chronically or terminally ill men, women and children and their caregivers through beauty and grooming services and pampering products.
