At Geneva Financial, our core value is to “Be A Good Human,” and we aim to embody that through meaningful community engagement. On November 2, 2024, we had the privilege of supporting a monumental event that brought over 300 children together for the largest youth pickleball lesson ever held in Arizona.

This groundbreaking event, organized by Shape Up Us and led by pickleball advocate Mark Miller, took place in Scottsdale, celebrating the growing enthusiasm for pickleball among young athletes. Children from all over the region gathered to learn the game, make friends, and create unforgettable memories.

Pickleball: The Sport for Everyone

Pickleball, known for its accessibility and inclusive nature, has become one of the fastest-growing sports in the U.S. Its smaller court size and slower-paced ball make it an excellent choice for children learning a new sport. The event was designed to teach kids not only the fundamentals of the game but also the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and community.

A Commitment to Community

Geneva Financial was proud to sponsor this historic occasion as part of our ongoing mission to foster healthy, thriving communities. Aaron Van Trojen, our CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for the event:
“At Geneva Financial, we believe in making a difference beyond the mortgage process. Supporting initiatives like this aligns with our mission to humanize the homebuying experience and strengthen the communities we serve.”

Breaking Records and Building Connections

The Scottsdale pickleball event was more than just a record-breaking moment; it was a celebration of collaboration and shared goals. Parents, volunteers, and community leaders came together to support the young participants, creating an uplifting atmosphere that encouraged the children to step out of their comfort zones and try something new.
