A native of Sydney, Australia and a resident of Oregon since 1990, I consider Portland my home. Having traveled extensively throughout the USA, I can state with confidence that there is no other city in the country where I would rather live. A graduate of the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Business degree, I have worked in the fields of financing, marketing and advertising for over 30 years.

EXPERIENCE

I have been a mortgage banker now for 19 years. The first half of this period was spent with two of the country’s largest mortgage banks.  Here I gained extensive training and was given the opportunity to do a large volume of loans that would not have been possible in a smaller company. The latter half I have worked for smaller, privately owned mortgage companie enjoying the more client focused, friendly atmosphere and the far greater choice of lenders to work with.

I have worked all my life in customer-focused, deadline oriented-industries. This serves me well as a mortgage consultant where deadlines are everything.  I am very “hands-on” with my loans, and deal directly with many of the elements that are typically delegated to an assistant or processor.

HOW I WORK

My philosophy is that I spend an additional half an hour at the beginning of the transaction to get as much information as possible from all parties so that almost immediately, everything necessary to the successful close of the transaction has been put in place. I also do most of the communication between my client, realtors on both sides and the escrow officer and don’t delegate this to anyone else. That way I am hands on and know where everything lies at any stage of the transaction.  All final documents are checked by me personally prior to closing so that everything is accurate and correct.  I also believe that attending signings is an important part of the process to answer questions or just to make the client feel comfortable and taken care of.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or are looking to buy or refinance.  I look forward to working with you!
