I have been in the Reverse Mortgage sector of residential lending since 2005 and actually did one of the first HECM for Purchase in 2009. There were only 18 funded HECM for purchase loans during the first year the program was offered by HUD.
I grew up on the shores of Lake Michigan in the Southwest corner of the State.
After moving to Arizona, I was a church administrator for 19 years and came into the business through my son in Seattle, Washington. He was looking for a “mature” person to work with seniors ,,, and I fit the bill.
